This is all of the 12 blocks for the "Stars of the Forest" Quilt, designed and released originally as a Quilt Along.
Without borders or sashing, the block can be sewn together in 4 rows of 3, finishing to 45"x60". (The downloads are for each block, not for the overall quilt assembly, although it is straightforward).
This fun quilt is designed to build foundation paper piecing skills, the blocks are all simple enough for beginners, and each block includes a link to a tutorial from the quilt along.
Difficulty 2.5 out of 5 (and there are video tutorials for every block!)
You will only receive a digital download that you can print at home. There are PDF files for the standard US Letter size as well as a PDFs for A4 paper. Please note Payhip does not support zipped files, so there are 24 total files available for download.
There is an alternate animal available, "First Awoo, Howling Wolf" that is NOT included in this purchase.
Included are:
-pattern for each of the 12 blocks, finishing to 15" each
The blocks consist of 6 stars and 6 animals. The animals are - Owl, Fox, Rabbit Raccoon, Deer, & Bear
-the instructions and directions on the order to assemble pieces for each block
-a 1 inch square to assure correct printer settings (on each block pattern)
-rough fabric estimates for the block and overall quilt
-a colored and labeled overall photo for stress-free fabric design of each block
-symbols on the pattern to aid in fabric placement
-a blank numbered page for designing your own color scheme
-the numbered pattern with 1/4" seam allowance included on each section for each block
-a cutting and gluing guide in the margin to help align multi-page sections
-tips for printing and piecing
There are no Y seams in my patterns. This pattern bundle does not include instructions for assembling the 12 finished blocks into the quilt.
My PDF instructions are written to only be a guide during assembly, not a how-to for someone who has never done foundation paper piecing before. I DO offer links with how-to videos and free patterns.
